History of Zodiac Signs

Zodiac signs have always fascinated the believers and non-believers at some point of their lifetime. The history of zodiac signs could go back to a time when people used them to predict futures, destinies or even the weather conditions. The origination of the zodiac signs was believed to have come from Babylonia and Egypt. However, the advanced study of zodiac signs is said to have come from India and China.

Zodiac signs have been around long before 3,000 years, when kings and emperors had high-priests and astrologers to predict the future and destiny of the rulers.

The technical aspects of the zodiac signs come from the four elements of nature -- Earth, Air, Fire and Water. It is regarded that the Fire signs have their source from the Sun, which is the largest form of heat on Earth. Some of the fire signs are Aries, Sagittarius and Leo. If you notice people born under this zodiac, you would be able to find out their nature as that of the Sun -- hot headed, sharp and authoritative.

The next signs that are associated with Air and wind turmoil are Gemini, Aquarius and Libra. The people born under this zodiac are like the air -- not bound to a place and their approach to life would be free and unbinding. Water signs like Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio have a soothing and calming approach just like water or rain. The Earth sign has the zodiacs of Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo. These signs signify the stability and standing of the Earth.

The planets are said to have a major effect on the zodiac signs and the Earth’s position along with the sun and planets decide the zodiac. It signifies the annual period of twelve different phases of the eclipse. Astronomers call the zodiac wandering stars, whereas astrologers use them to predict the events and natural calamities that happen on Earth.
