History of Snickers Candy Bar:
1930 - Snickers, originally called as Marathon candy bar, was manufactured by Mars Incorporated, in the UK and Ireland. The main individual behind this candy manufacture was Frank C. Mars and Ethel Mars, his wife.
1990 - Renaming of the Marathon bar was going on for some time. In the international circuit, it was being campaigned as Snickers. However, it was officially renamed Snickers in 1990.
2004 - Replacement for the original king-size Snickers bars was sought after, so as to go by the Food and Drink Federation rules and regulations.
2005 - Snickers bars were produced as double bar that could be shared. Basically, you could split the bar into two, and share it with friends, or save it for another break.
