World War 2 officially started on September 1, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland and most other nations which were part of the British Empire and Commonwealth declared war on Germany. However, the question is Why World War 2 Started ?.

It all goes back to the end of World War I when Germany was forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles and this caused the country to lose nearly 14 percent, banned it from annexing other states, limited the size of the German armed forces and forced the country to pay huge compensations.
