Let us understand the ancient art of Finland by just learning a few things about the largest museum situated at Helsinki. This museum consists of 2 art schools. One for applied art and the other for displaying collections of Finnish society. This museum was open to the people in 1888. However in the year 1939, the art society was taken over by a new foundation called Fine Arts Academy and established a fine art gallery in the year 1990.The building was then renovated following which the Academy of Fine Arts and University of Art and Design moved out of Ateneum’s premises.More...
