Famous People Obituaries:

William Shakespeare: He was one of the most prominent English poets and dramatists in the medieval era. He is often hailed as England’s national poet. He wrote a total of 154 sonnets, composed thirty eight plays, two narratives and several poems. The great poet died in April 1616 at the age of 52.

Karl Heinrich Marx: Perpetrator of the Marxist Revolution, Karl Heinrich Marx is credited as the founder of communism. He is greatly respected for his notable contributions in politics, economics, sociology and history. He died in March 1883.

Abraham Lincoln: Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States. He was on the forefront to lead his country successfully through a period of great internal strife. He is remembered for his contributions for fighting against slavery. His Emancipation Proclamation abolished slavery. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in 1865. He remains a great leader to many Americans.

Bruce Lee: Popular martial artist and an iconic actor, Bruce Lee was poisoned to death in 1973. There were speculations that he was murdered by his wife. He was the founder of the Jeet Kune Do form of martial combat.

Levy Patrick Mwanawasa: He was the president of Zambia who died on August 19, 2008. He died following a short period of serious illness at a prestigious hotel. The presidential elections in September 2006 saw him emerge victorious. But, unfortunately, his health condition started deteriorating since his first stroke in April 2006. Levy Patrick Mwanawasa died during his second term in office.
