Political science is one of the most popular subjects in major universities around the world. It includes the study and practice of politics, the political system and the structure of the government. Political science has been studied by famous people who had a keen interest in public administration, political institutions, and acquisition of power.

Famous People in Political Science:

Karl Rove: He is often described as the architect of Bush’s success. He was the former advisor to President George W Bush. His clever political strategies led to the success for the Bush administration. During his college years, he failed to complete his degree at the University of Utah, but went on to become tone of the most respected political scientist around the world.

Henry Kissinger: Former national security advisor for Nixon’s administration, Kissinger was known for his shrewd and witty strategies through which he survived the infamous Watergate scandal that brought down the whole Nixon government. He is credited with the successful ending of the Vietnam War while serving under the Ford administration.

Dr. Condoleezza Rice: She is one of the most famous political personalities who studied political science. She even taught political science at the Stanford University. She is the US secretary of state in the Bush administration and was a national security advisor.

Barack Obama: President elect Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States on January 2009. He studied Political Science at the University of Columbia. He also studied law at the Harvard Law School. 

Niccolo Machiavelli: He is one of the most famous Italian political scientists around the world. He wrote “The Prince”. The theme of the book was all about acquiring and retaining political power.
