Prince Harry Biography

Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-Windsor, more popularly known as Prince Harry, is famous for his controversies, girlfriends and his role in the British army. Born on September 15, 1984, Prince Harry is the younger son of Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Prince Harry is the third in the line of succession to the British throne. Grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry is a Cornet in the Blues and Royal Regiment of the Cavalry of the British Army.

On December 21, 1984 Prince Harry was christened at St. George’s Chapel Windsor Castle by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Robert Runcie. Harry attended Wetherby School and later Ludgrove School in Berkshire. In 1998, he attended Eton College in Berkshire and in 2003 he completed his education at Eton. Prince Harry is known to be very interested in skiing and abseiling.

In April 2006, Prince Harry passed out as a newly commissioned officer at the Sovereign’s parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in April 2006. He is known as Cornet Wales in the army and he will continue to use Wales as a last name. Prince Harry joined the Blues and Royals, a regiment of the Household Cavalry in January 2006. In May 2007, it was reported that he was expected to be deployed in Iraq in May 2007.

Prince Harry and controversies have always gone hand in hand. In 2003, a former teacher at Eton College, Sarah Forsythe, accused the senior staff in helping Prince Harry to cheat in his art A level coursework which saw her being dismissed from her teaching position. Then in 2002, it was reported that Prince Harry was caught smoking cannabis. On October 21 2004, Prince Harry had a squabble with a paparazzo photographer in a nightclub for which he apologized publicly.

The world got shocked when Prince Harry was photographed wearing a military jacket with a Nazi Germany's flag on the arm on January 2005 while attending a fancy dress party. He issued a written apology which was termed criticized by the press and media as being extremely feeble.
