Hera Greek Goddess
Hera was Zeus' wife and she was grown in the home of titans Tethys and ocean and even though she was known as the “cow-faced” she was one of the beautiful goddess. Even though she was beautiful she did not have attractive personality because she was acting revengefully towards the lovers of Zeus. |
Hera was forced to get married to Zeus even though she disliked him. Zeus courted Hera for many times and he was unsuccessful. He then disguised himself as an injured bird seeing this Hera put the bird near to her breast and Zeus took advantage of it and raped her. She then had an obligation to marry him in order to cover her from the shame.
Zeus was a very faithful husband and Hera was not loyal from her side. She had supported other gods to go against him. Zeus was drugged by Hera and was tied down by other gods and they began to quarrel because they did not know what to do after tying him. Briareus set Zeus free from the knots. He got up and took the thunderbolt, seeing this other gods came onto their knees for mercy and hung Hera with gold chains from sky. She cried all night with pain but nobody helped her. Zeus was not able to sleep all the night and asked her to promise not to revolt against him so that he would release her. Hera accepted and she was released and she kept her promise.
Zeus was Cronus and Rhea’s sixth child. He was the king of gods but he was not controlling anybody's destiny or fate. Similar to all the Greek deities, he also experienced, pleasure, anger, grief and pain.
