Son Of Aphrodite

Aeneas was the son of Anchises and Aphrodite. It is believed by some that Zeus aroused the desire in Aphrodite to have a relation with the mortal man. Aphrodite appeared as a beautiful maiden and told that she was a mortal woman, daughter of an Otreus. She told Anchises because she grew in a house of Trojan nurse.

When Anchises made love to Aphrodite, she revealed her identity and Anchises panicked that he might be destroyed because he slept with a goddess. Aphrodite who was already sad because of sleeping with a mortal man told him that gods love him and he need not be scared if he says that the child belonged to a nymph because Aphrodite believed that the nymphs will back Aeneas and when he becomes a boy he will restore his father.

Some say that Anchises when drunk too much of wine revealed to his friends that goddess was his lover which resulted in the Zeus thunderbolt. Some say that he destroyed himself.

At the time of the Trojan war, who was driven by Achilles from Mount Ida and he was hurt by Diomedes and fainted might have expired if his mother did not rescue him. Aphrodite also injured herself by Diomedes at the same time but Apollo protected Aeneas by eliminating him from the battle. Aeneas was healed by Artemis and Leto which made him stronger.

Some believe that at the end of the Trojan War, Aeneas was given to Neoptolemus as a prize and also Andromache, who was Hector's wife.
