Eros is the Greek god of lust and sexual desire, and is also often called as Cupid by the Romans. He is known as the oldest god according to some mythical legends, and he is believed to be the offspring of Aphrodite and Ares. Eros is often depicted as a small boy with a bow and arrow and wings and he is also depicted as a young handsome man with a bow and arrow and wings.

Eros usually carries two kinds of arrows. One is the golden arrow with the dove feathers which causes love in a person’s heart and arouses sexual feelings. Eros is also one of the oldest gods primeval to chaos. He is also sometimes referred to as the first born.

There are several variations in Greek mythology about who really were the parents of Eros. According to the Aristophanes or the birds, he was born out of Erebus and Nyx.
