Big Decisions Of John Adams

John Adams was the second president of the United States, and also one of the Founding Fathers of the country. Adams was born on October 30, 1735, and he died on July 4, 1826. He was the vice president for two terms before becoming the president. He is often referred to as the President after Washington. His term in office was from the year 1797 to 1801.

He is also one of the most influential presidents that America ever had. During the early days of the American Revolution, Adams started gaining popularity. He played a very important role in convincing the Congress to adapt the Declaration of Independence in 1776. He also negotiated the peace treaty with Great Britain. Adams obtained loans from Amsterdam for America. He was very aggressive and active which helped him to be able to serve two terms as the vice president under George Washington. He also served two terms when he became the President.

While he was the president, Adams had to make some of the biggest decisions for the nation. These decisions were reflected for several hundreds of years to come in the country. All the Congressmen turned to Adams for advice about forming a new government. Earlier, Adams had been repeatedly telling them his ideas of a government. So he published a pamphlet called Thoughts on Government. This pamphlet contained influential writings from many states. Adams also maintained that social classes existed in every kind of society, and the government should accept it. In addition, he maintained that they should have a mixed government.
