James A Garfield At Hall Of Presidents  


The Hall of Presidents is one of the many historical attractions in United States. Located inside the Walt Disney World Resort, the place was built to honor the people who served as Presidents of the United States.

Like Mount Rushmore, the Hall of Presidents too features prominent US Presidents of the past. One of them is James A Garfield, who served as the President of United States for a brief period between March and September 1881 before dying of attempted assassination injuries.

James A Garfield had a glorious career both as a politician, lawyer and a military commander. During the Civil War, he is credited for pushing the Confederate Army out of eastern Kentucky. He as a hawkish Republican and was the first person to make it to the highest office in the Union while still being a member of the House of Representatives.

The Hall of Fame in Liberty Square contains picture or James A Garfield along with other presidents. He was one of the statesmen who worked hard in order to bridge the gap between the north and the south and reconstruct America. He was a Republican president and was among those who wished for better relations with Latin American countries.

There have been numerous Presidents who have played significant role in shaping the socio-political life of United States of America. James A Garfield is one such person who served the country as a true patriot in whatever capacity he could. His legacy lives on in history, and his name is written with golden letters in the annals of United States.
