A president has a lot of tasks to do when it comes to international or domestic affairs. This means that he has to approve some acts that will be beneficial for the people in the country. And, in the term of President Harry Truman, here is the list of domestic events that have occurred under his administration. |
Taft-Hartley Act of 1947 was an act that President Roosevelt had passed on to his successor, who was Truman. This law made it possible for employers to or any company for that matter to sue their employees or business partners that had breached their contract. The law also required the employers and business organizations to pass financial statements to the other public authorities at the same time swearing that they were not connected with any communist groups.
Establishment of CEA was an order to help the president in making a policy for the country's economy. The good thing about this committee is that the president made sure that he would be treating the members as his advisers, and not an individual organization in the government. In this way, he will be sure that the loyalty will stay with him.
Passing of Fair Deal Act was an act that had only been approved or passed when President Truman was reelected. The major aim of this act was to take care of social welfare and promote economic growth to the country.
